This
exciting new construction
project consisted of a
6,607 square foot retail
building on South Hurstbourne
Parkway featuring a beautiful
new showroom, multiple
service bays, multi-level
warehouse for tire inventory,
office, break room, restrooms
and waiting room. The
building is a masonry/steel
structure with a slab
on grade and a reinforced
concrete second floor
slab. The roof is convention
bar joist and steel deck
overlaid with rigid insulation
and a membrain roof. The
architectural feature
of the building is the
hip roof tower constructed
of wood trusses and plywood,
clad with standing seam
architectural metal. The
exterior walls are a combination
of split face C.M.U. and
exterior insulation and
finish system pierced
by a series of aluminum
and insulated glass overhead
doors and storefront.
The Interior finishes
included acoustical ceiling,
hollow metal doors, plastic
laminate and wood casework,
carpet tile, v.c.t., rubber
base, sealed/hardened
concrete floor and paint.
One unique feature of
this project is the new
locally made Challenger
Hydralift which uses water
instead of oil for a much
greener approach.
